Your new company
You will be joining a leading contractor to assist within their rail division. You will have full autonomy regarding estimating on their rail projects worth up to £95 Million and the opportunity to take full autonomy over project estimation and costing to develop company growth, and your own personal growth/skillset.
Your new role
In this role you will have responsibilities such as, but not limited to; Leading the approvals process with the Pre-Contract Commercial & Estimating team to ensure all tenders adhere to the correct level of governance and tracking any changes post approval to ensure compliance is maintained as well as liaison with the bidding team / estimating members from other business units, operational and commercial staff to deliver high quality, robust pricing submissions and also managing an internal Estimating tool including maintaining input data, troubleshooting errors and training users.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, a candidate would ideally have a strong background in estimating on rail projects, knowledge and experience of pricing and contracting under different forms of contracts and pricing mechanism, including NEC Options A-F as well as a strong knowledge of estimating software's such as CCS Candy. Completion of Continuing Professional Development(CPD) and progression to Member status of the relevant professional institutions will be an expectation of the role if not currently held. Personal skills such as being a team player and having excellent communication and management skills is also essential for this role.
