Your new role
You will be joining this organisation as a full time driver. In this role you will be required to work as part of a team to deliver a range of community equipment and specialist items to peoples homes in a timely and responsive manner.
Duties will include:
To undertake the delivery / handover / installation of Community Equipment and Wheelchairs supplied to clients for their personal use.
Undertaking a sensitive and responsive delivery service for equipment supplied for the client's personal use, collecting community equipment from the main depot and delivering to people's homes across the borough
Planning delivery routes and the order of equipment drop off to ensure the most efficient delivery service possible
Following a range of strict handover procedures and demonstrate the routine assembly, adjustment, installation and basic maintenance of loaned equipment to clients and carers.
Communicating effectively with the client, carers, colleagues, clinicians and contractors to ensure excellent customer service and positive representation of CEWS.
Communicating with individuals at the point of contact and remain polite and helpful particularly where there may be barriers to understanding.
Having a comprehensive knowledge of safe working policies, practices and standards appropriate to the designated area of responsibility in line with the Community Equipment and Wheelchair Services Quality Management System.
Acting as a source of advice and information on equipment supply including installation and contra-indications of use.
Covering the prioritised duties of the Equipment Maintenance Technician where required, including undertaking acceptance checks on new equipment and statutory electrical safety tests.
Undertaking all duties involving equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Demonstrating an understanding of risk management and apply this to the work situation, particularly regarding emergency situations and any situation requiring further actions.
Identifying service quality issues and related risks and bring these to the attention of a member of the CEWS Management Team.
Facilitating the best use of equipment stocks by undertaking effective equipment management and quality control practices.
To be familiar with the design, assembly, special features, operation and practical use and contra-indicators of the most commonly requested items of equipment available from the services.
To be aware of security and property in the workplace (including at client's homes)
To be responsible for the security of assigned vehicle, tools, equipment and documentation.
Any other reasonable duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone with previous experience within facilities or maintenance. It is also essential that the successful applicant is a driver.

This role is hybrid working, located in Solihull working full time hours. This is a temporary full-time assignment. This role is offering a rate of pay of £12.74 per hour and will be paid on a weekly basis.
