Job Details

Your new company
We are seeking an experienced Interim Deputy Head of Estates to join a dedicated team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. This position is a critical part of the organisation's commitment to providing high-quality health-care services within the community, and across Cornwall.

Your new role
Operating at a senior level, your role will involve provision of leadership, strategic planning, day to day operational oversight, resource management, compliance and ensuring collaboration across the team. You will have an opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the estate strategy, aligning with the trust's overall objectives, whilst ensuring daily operational issues are undertaken to a high standard, including maintenance, refurbishment and compliance requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate proven experience in a senior estate role, either within the healthcare sector or a similar public estate (higher education or similar). Excellent leadership and people management skills will be critical, as well as a proven track record in strategic planning and resource management. A background in either engineering, or building fabric will be considered.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a full-time contract position based in Truro, Cornwall. Your initial contract duration will be 4 - 6 months. However, there is a high likelihood of this contract progressing beyond the initial term. Should a permanent position be of interest to you, then opportunities to apply for roles of this nature are likely to arise across the duration of your contract.
