HAYS are delighted to be working in partnership with the council to present an exciting new permanent opportunity for a Leasing and Lettings Surveyor.


Your new role
As am Agency Surveyor, you will be able to take advantage of an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of assets including 350 commercial properties and 400 other assets, including a town hall, leisure and community centres, moorings, and parks. Your role will primarily be focused on leasing transactions, undertaking direct negotiations with tenants, liaising with external leasing agents, and seeing the deal through to completion.
You will also:

• Lead on the leasing and letting of vacant properties across the portfolio.
• Build relationships with landowners and commercial agents helping to build the reputation of Oxford City Council.
• Use excellent decision-making skills in order to reflect priorities (for example, financial return vs property use).

What you'll need to succeed
If you have a passion for property, an eye for detail and a drive and motivation to improve the environment, then this could be a fantastic next step for you; there is no requirement to have worked for a local authority previously or within the public sector before. You will need to hold a degree or equivalent qualification within a property related area, and ideally you will be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
