Your new company
With over 40 years in the highways civil engineering sector, this family owned and operated business prides itself on its dynamic and motivated team and the collaborative approach they foster with their clients. They provide highways civil engineering term contracts for both public and private sectors and are currently working on a number of highways projects and regeneration schemes.
Your new role
As the Senior Project Manager in HIGHWAYS you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering complex highway and transportation projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
- Align project strategies with the company's objectives and client requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and other project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project financials, track expenses, and implement cost-effective strategies to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
- Oversee procurement processes, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure project success.
- Prepare regular project reports, status updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records.
- Experienced leading project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment to achieve project goals.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, codes and standards.
- Review quality control standards throughout project execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
What you'll get in return

- A day rate of £350 - £450 (depending on experience)
