Your new company
The company you will be working for is a tier one civil engineering contractor who have and still are in charge of multiple extremely large-scale projects throughout the UK. They have done a litany of projects ranging from major flood defence defences to university and courtroom fit-outs, offering their employees the opportunity to work and gain experience from a large array of different schemes and projects.
Your new role
Your new role will be as a Site Agent working on a 400 m extension to create a new berth at a port container terminal based in the south-east region. This is a multi-million pound project that you will be playing a key role in the execution of. You will be managing one site or a section of a larger site as part of a wider team, including safety, health, environmental, quality, programme, resource, commercial and contractual aspects. The role will also involve logistical management, monthly progress reports, being chair in subcontractor progress meetings, ensuring the contractors' standards are being upheld on site, enuring daily site records are kept accurately and many other obligations.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will need a :
Strong work ethic
Prior experience in a similar role managing large sites or sections of large sites
Be willing to work and travel throughout the UK
