Your new company
You will be joining a multi-accredited SME subcontractor based in Nottingham. This company has a strong pipeline of work across a multitude of different sectors including, healthcare, leisure, residential and more. Due to their continued growth, they are looking to onboard an estimator to join their commercial team and help them to continue their expansion. Your new role
You will be working as an estimator working alongside 3 others reporting directly to the senior qs. As an estimator, you will be responsible for producing estimates for all passive fire solutions, including but not limited to surveys, doors/remedials, fire stopping, and dampers. They will also be responsible for providing accurate quotations to clients, reading and interpreting site drawings/reports accurately, keeping up-to-date with knowledge of passive fire and fire stopping legislation, preparing bills of materials and quotations from client specifications, interpreting client requirements accurately, building successful working relationships with clients and internal teams, and prioritising workload to ensure client deadlines are met.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have a background and experience of estimating, with fire stopping, doors, and dampers background being preferable. They should be familiar with compiling rates from first principles, have excellent organisational skills, and be able to work to tight deadlines. Excellent customer relations skills, good IT skills, and familiarity with Microsoft software are also required. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, including face-to-face meetings, telephone, and MS Teams communications, and the ability to work alone and effectively organise their time, as well as being a good team player. An ideal candidate may also come from a background of estimating with a specialist subcontractor.
