Job Details
Your new company
Working as a Property Services Surveyor, you will join a historic and award winning landlord, providing supported living and sheltered housing schemes to residents based across the historic city of Bath and surrounding regions in Northeast Somerset.
Your new role
As a Property Services Surveyor, you will join a specialist works team who are responsible for the day to day maintenance and improvement works taking place across residential properties. You will join in a role with a variety - delivering and supervising works which could range from replacement roofing, through to rebuilding of walls or instillation of new windows and doors. As a surveyor you will undertake inspections of properties which range from historic and listed buildings, through to state of the art modern living spaces, initially to identify defects before producing a report or specification in order to make recommendations on a course of repairs. As the specialist surveyor, you will then work with contractors and trades teams to supervise and deliver the required works, before signing-off completed projects.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to have a background in property services and maintenance within a housing environment - ideally, you\'ll have worked in a surveying position previously, and you may have worked as a Technical Surveyor, Maintenance Surveyor, Property Services Surveyor, Repair Surveyor or similar. You may have also worked for a maintenance contractor, either as a supervisor or a contracts manager.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an initial contract with a duration of up to six months, alongside a flexible hourly rate of between £30 - £35 per hour. You\'ll be able to work flexibly in your role, undertaking surveys and inspections for three days per week, with two days spent working from home.
