Site Engineer

Site Engineer (Earthworks and Pipeline)
We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our client on a contract basis for a minimum of 18 months. You will be working on the earthworks and pipeline project in Nottingham, which involves setting out, supervision, quality control, and reporting of the site activities.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that the site work is carried out in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, and standards.
• Liaising with the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
• Managing the site setting-out team and providing them with accurate and timely information and guidance.
• Monitoring and recording the progress, quality, and safety of the site works and reporting any issues or deviations to the Senior Engineer or Sub Agent.
• Implementing site-specific management plans and complying with the company's health and safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Mentoring a Trainee/Juinor Engineer and supporting their development and learning.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• A valid CSCS card and relevant site certificates.
• Experience in earthworks, drainage, and pipeline engineering, preferably in the utilities or infrastructure sector.
• Proficiency in using various surveying and setting-out equipment and software, such as GPS, EDM, Total Station, AutoCAD, etc.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure and tight deadlines.
