Our client is a large Building Services consultancy based in the Edinburgh area. Their team of highly-qualified mechanical andelectrical engineers have many years of experience in all aspects of buildingservices engineering: from preliminary planning and construction management tosupplementary services upon completion. Their clients operate throughout theindustrial, commercial and residential sectors. Work includes commercialoffices, student accommodations, distilleries and more. This is a great opportunityfor an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join a well stablishedpractice that can offer you the access and support you need to aid yourlearning and development. You will have the opportunity to run your ownprojects, working through the RIBA stages. The office has a relaxed, flexibleculture and regular social incentives take place.
Your new role
You'llplay a key part in the Electrical Design team and will have the opportunity tolead projects and mentor junior team members. Your key responsibilities willinclude:
- Designing and developing Electrical systems for building services projects.
- Preparing technical reports and specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with other engineers and architects.
- Mentoring junior team members
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in electrical design engineering on Building Services projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and building codes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
