Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Customer Regulatory Advisor/Executive to join our client on an ongoing long-term temporary assignment.
Your new role
To be the first point of contact for customers requesting data held on file, ensuring effective management of all SARs requests to ensure they are sent within 28 days to meet internal SLA's and within 30 days to meet regulatory timelines. To manage and process all claims received from a CMC, ensuring Legal and Compliance have visibility of potential CMC's issues and volumes.
To manage any regulatory remedial topics that may arise within the business while working closely with Legal and Compliance to meet set deadlines. Provide insight into the reporting, ensuring the business and any regulatory bodies are kept up to date on regulatory activity. To highlight any issues that may arise to mitigate future remedial issues or risk to business.

Location: Farnborough, UK. (Candidates should be based within a reasonable commute)
Assignment type: 12 months rolling contract where you will be engaged via Hays
Working environment: Hybrid working is an option after training based on a blended approach of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home
Hours per week: 37.5
Pay type: £27k - £29K

What you'll need to succeed

  • Knowledge of Consumer Credit Act and Consumer Rights Act 2015, Supply of Goods and Services Act (Implied Terms) and Legal jurisdictions
  • Previous experience in a customer role in the Automotive or Regulated Financial Services industry is desirable.
  • Ability to work closely with the Financial Ombudsman / external panel of solicitors
  • Analytical skills are desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer-literate with sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise activities, work under pressure and multitask
  • Knowledge of Motor Trade Law is desirable
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and UK authorities (CCA, ISO, FCA, Financial Ombudsman, DPA etc)
