Hays are working in partnership with a London Borough council to assist them in hiring an Architect. This rewarding role is available immediately.

  • Long-term contract basis
  • Competitive Hourly Rate
  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office per week)
  • West London with multiple public transport options.

Reporting to the principal architect, you will carry out architectural duties and services as part of the multidiscipline design and project management team. Projects are mostly within schools, and occasionally other civic buildings such as libraries and leisure buildings. You will be carrying out option appraisals and feasibility studies for schemes of value between £100k and £30m. Responsible for producing full design details, detailed construction information and building specifications for all allocated projects between £100k and £2m. Responsible for obtaining planning and building control permissions and BREEAM 'excellent' standard design. Provide procurement advice comparing different forms of contract. Provide project management and planning services in line with the project commission

  • ARB/RIBA certified Architect, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong Revit ability
  • Proactive and problem-solving approach.
  • Candidates with educational experience will be received very favourably, but other project experience with a similar approach will also be considered.
