Location: Farnborough, UK. (Candidates should be based within a reasonable commute)

Assignment type: Till end of the year (possible 12 months rolling contract extension where you will be engaged via Hays)

Working environment: Hybrid working: 2 days in the office - 3 days at home is an option after training (1-3 months) based on a blended approach.

Hours per week: 37.5

Pay rate:£14 P/H


Your new role
The role holder will be responsible for the new vehicle order process from receipt of customer order through to the vehicle being delivered. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment whilst managing your own workload to achieve results.Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage accurate and timely placement and progression of all new vehicle orders at the best price and availability whilst ensuring Alphabet procedures and service levels are adhered to in-line with the overall sourcing strategy, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collate and store all relevant and required data for each customer and their orders to support the wider business with in-life activities.
  • Provide accurate and competitive pricing and availability information and resolve any pricing queries in a timely manner.
  • Analyse and manage the live order bank for respective manufacturers and orders, ensuring customers are kept fully up to date with any changes.
  • Ensure all orders are processed accurately and timely, allowing internal processes to be actioned (i.e. billing).
  • Ensure customers are kept up to date with the progress of their orders, including order confirmations and updates. This includes proactively chasing suppliers.
  • Administer and manage all return car tasks, ensuring that all vehicles are returned to the respective owners in accordance with agreed SLAs and no unnecessary costs are incurred by any party.
  • Action and manage all order issues and queries and ensure a timely resolution, including the management of all requote, cancel & reloads and adhoc requirements.
  • Manage the customer test drive process by liaising with the supplier network and internal sales team to ensure customer requirements and fulfilled.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in the Automotive or Financial Services industry is desirable
  • Computer-literate with good understanding of all Microsoft Office packages
  • Good level of numerical understanding and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage own workload to achieve results.
