Your new company

An exciting opportunity is available to join an established Project Delivery Team within a Central Government directorate. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a team responsible for the delivery of minor projects across the portfolio. The team manages approximately 120 projects with an annual spend of £200 million and a portfolio value of £1 billion. Your role will involve providing financial and commercial guidance, reviewing processes, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with client practices.

Your new role

  • Provide authoritative financial and commercial information for the wider team.
  • Advise on contractual and commercial issues for assigned projects.
  • Review commercial processes and address any non-compliance areas.
  • Assist in producing regular financial reports, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring accounting standards are met.
  • Actively manage risks and maintain risk registers.
  • Evaluate cost impacts of risks and mitigation measures.
  • Manage procurement of framework call-off orders.
  • Ensure consultants and suppliers adhere to contractual obligations.
  • Handle NEC 3&4 Contract Administration, including managing Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs).
  • Control change logs and follow governance procedures for commercial matters.

What you'll need to succeed

Attention to detail
Able to manage a varied and fast-paced workload
Qualification in Quantity Surveying
Membership in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or other relevant professional body.
