Hays are working with a construction consultancy organisation to recruit a Finance and Payroll Assistant based in Colchester. You would be responsible for maintaining the Accounts Receivable processes.

The ideal candidate would be confident with MS packages and Sage 50 accounts to carry out payroll for over 250 employees.

  • Completing payroll and managing accounts payable functions regarding any debts and gathering information from suppliers whilst maintaining a communication log
  • Resolve supplier queries efficiently to minimise short/late payments and find solutions to resolve non-payment issues.
  • Processing credit card payments, covering annual leave and setting up new staff members.
  • Undertake other finance duties delegated and liaise with other departments/ partners to resolve and queries
