Your new company
You will be joining a multi-accredited main contractor based in Stoke who operates across the Midlands. This main contractor works on anything from commercial, educational, retail, healthcare and more. These projects are both new build and refurbishments ranging from £500k - £20m in value. This highly reputable contractor has a large team and due to their continuous growth are looking to onboard a senior estimator who has experience of pricing projects in the region of £10m.
Your new role
* Cost Estimation:* Accurately estimate costs for materials, equipment, utilities, and labour.
* Analyse specifications and research construction documents.
* Project Planning:
* Prepare estimates for project planning, organisation, and scheduling.
* Set work hours, sequence tasks, and obtain materials.
* Resource Management:
* Submit relevant documents and budgets before bid deadlines.
* Stay updated on the latest estimating technology and industry techniques.
* Risk Management:
* Formulate contingency plans and manage risks impacting cost and time estimates.
* Communication and Collaboration:
* Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, and provide additional services as needed.
* Regularly report to management and keep clients informed of project status.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have experience working as a senior estimator (or verging on being a senior estimator) for a main contractor pricing jobs typically between £3m - £10m.
