This global retail design and build organisation are looking to boost the expansion and growth of their London office. They are seeking an experienced business developer/marketer with a background in the architecture/interior design sector.
You will play a pivotal role in their growth, identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships. Great opportunity to join a growing business and be part of their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients in the retail and architectural sectors globally.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to enter new markets and expand their presence
- Initiate and nurture relationships with potential clients, including retailers, developers, and other stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Maintain strong relationships with major existing clients.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure that client requirements are accurately understood and incorporated into project proposals.
- Collaborate with other team members to create promotional materials and campaigns that align with business development strategies
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
- Prepare regular reports on progress and forecasts
- Promote the business with prominent industry speaking engagements, panel discussions, competitions and others.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in business development or marketing, preferably in the design, architecture, or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of the retail landscape and design market dynamics on a global scale.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with exceptional networking experience: highly personable and engaging.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, confident, with the ability to take ownership, organise tasks, and manage deadline-driven efforts..
- Familiarity with Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
