Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Parts Supply Executive to join our client on an ongoing long-term temporary assignment.

You will need to provide all Parts and Accessory Availability, whilst managing the inventory purchases effectively so that the financial risks to the business are minimised. To monitor and cleanse the stock of ageing and excess stock to ensure obsolescence is kept to a minimum. To carry out other administrative and reporting tasks to support the UK Parts Operations and Supply Chain Manager.


Location: Farnborough, UK. (Candidates should be based within a reasonable commute)Assignment type: Till end of the year (possible 12 months rolling contract extension where you will be engaged via Hays)
Working environment: Hybrid working: 2 days in the office, 3 days at home is an option after training (1-3 months) based on a blended approach.
Hours per week: 37.5
Pay rate: £15.38


Your new role

  • To ensure daily orders to our clients are completed within specific time deadlines via the Stock Order, Consolidated Emergency Stock Order (CEOS) and Direct order placement into the AG systems
  • To proactively procure parts that are being held to ensure the UK market gets its share of the available stock.
  • To ensure parts are organised into the correct matrices to result in effective ordering patterns to support the First Pick Availability and stock turn targets.
  • Using all available reports, systems and initiative to work in conjunction with variety of departments in attempts to source parts outside normal channels to satisfy outstanding supplier orders that have extended or delayed lead-times.
  • To ensure supply related retailer enquiries are processed in a timely manner and to provide accurate and comprehensive responses, predominantly relating to anticipated order delivery times.
  • Collate, capture and record regular performance information to monitor a variety of KPI's
  • To ensure purchase orders are distributed accurately to local suppliers and to ensure accurate records are kept for use in any reconciliation investigations or audit enquiries.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a Parts/Goods related Supply environment.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
  • An understanding and knowledge of inventory management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with good knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Data Warehouse systems (Cognos)
  • Use of (UKPS) and other inventory management systems (SAP)
  • The ability to be flexible and work as part of a small team but also have the confidence to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with the need to continually re-prioritise a diverse workload.
