Hays are proudly working with one of the UK's leading and globally recognised performing arts companies. We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Draughtsperson or Architectural Technician to become part of their scenic construction team at their workshop. This is a large, state-of-the-art, facility in Purfleet, which features a scenic construction carpentry workshop, metal workshop, paint studio, and fit-up area. Here, their large team craft scenery for their productions.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Draughtsperson to help bring their productions to life. Their workshop is a busy and collaborative space, and they are seeking an experienced individual to work in this hands-on environment. You will be making autonomous design decisions, using your expertise within the sector, as well as enjoying being a part of a team-driven environment.

Ideal background

- Professional experience in scenic draughting with project experience in the theatre, concert or media sectors.
- Knowledge of theatre structural engineering and scenic construction in large-scale theatre settings.
- Experience of collaborating effectively with both in-house and external designers.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor 3D Modelling.
- Excellent IT skills, including Photoshop (or equivalent) and MS Office, along with other relevant software.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
