An award-winning AJ100 studio, renowned for its high-quality, design-led architecture, is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join their London-based team. This firm works across sectors such as residential, commercial, and urban regeneration, with a strong portfolio of large-scale, mixed-use developments. The role offers an opportunity for a talented and technically skilled individual to contribute to the delivery of significant projects in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the technical design process, producing well-coordinated, efficient, and compliant solutions across RIBA stages 3-5.
- Develop detailed technical drawing packages using AutoCAD and/or Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors to address technical issues and drive project delivery.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of UK building regulations and standards, ensuring all designs meet legislative requirements.
- Participate in design discussions, offering technical insights and innovative solutions.
- Assist in specification writing, particularly with knowledge of NBS Chorus.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field (CIAT certification desirable).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within UK Residential and/or Commercial sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit with strong technical design expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, technical design standards, and construction legislation.
- Experience producing detailed and compliant technical information across various project stages.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of liaising effectively with consultants, clients, and contractors.
- Familiarity with specification writing and modern methods of construction is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
