- Support architectural teams throughout pre-construction and construction, ensuring that project information is accurate and up to standard.
- Advise on specification and procurement strategies for both UK and international projects.
- Prepare and update project specifications to comply with legal requirements, codes, and local standards.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in building techniques, materials, and technical regulations to support ongoing work.
- Work closely with other departments, including design, sustainability, and project management, to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Oversee the maintenance and refinement of master specifications used within the practice.
- Participate in meetings to help prepare project documentation and track project milestones.
- A background in producing architectural specifications for construction projects.
- Strong understanding of current building methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent organisational skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software tools.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for short assignments.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience with specifications for projects in the UK, the US, or the Middle East.
- Familiarity with construction practices in the Middle East or Far East.
- Knowledge of software such as MicroStation or InDesign.
- Additional language skills would be a plus.
