This boutique architectural design practice is very busy and they have exclusively appointed White Space Recruitment to recruit a Senior Architectural Designer / Senior CAD Technician with strong AutoCAD skills, ideally with some job running experience, to work on a Full or Part Time Contract basis.
Working from their office in Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire, and potentially offering hybrid options in the future, the successful Senior Architectural Designer / Senior CAD Technician will be working in a small team of Architects & Consultants, engaging with Residential SME House Builders and Developers working on numerous projects to include exclusive residential developments of 4-20 houses, apartment blocks, historic renovations and large one-of high-end homes. You will be providing full AutoCAD drawing support and commercial advice by spotting inefficiencies within designs and adding value to maximise the potential from scheme proposals.
White Space is looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Designer / Senior CAD Technician with the energy, confidence, and ability to “take on projects and run with them”, without needing much supervision or guidance, someone who can engage with people on a human professional level and simply be trusted to deliver a good service to clients.
Senior Architectural Designers / Senior CAD Technicians applying must have good proficiency in producing construction working drawings and details in AutoCAD 2D, and have a commercial mindset in knowing how to get the best value out of schemes. Ideally, we would like to see Senior Architectural Designers / Senior CAD Technicians who have some previous experience of working for a house builder, developer or similar but this is not essential.
Ultimately this client is looking for someone to join on a long-term basis, however they are open minded about engaging with contract/freelance Senior Architectural Designers / Senior CAD Technicians looking for a long term contract either LTD, Sole Trader or PAYE.
